Edmonton Community Meetup, Powered by Twitch is back with a COVID-19 twist! In this digital community MeetUp you can expect all of the same excitement as our IRL events transferred deep into cyberspace. That isn't all though, we've teamed up with our sister chapter Calgary Community Meetup to bring you a community fundraising event like never before seen in Canada. This 12-hour live stream event is in benefit of the Make a Wish Foundation and will feature streamers from all over Alberta, games, challenges and a healthy helping of the hilarious antics that you've come to expect at our events.

Listen, we know you've seen the commercials, Make-A-Wish of Canada brings every eligible child’s wish to life. Wishes are an important part of a child’s treatment journey. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope.

In Alberta, COVID-19 has led to a postponement of over twenty wishes and a drastic drop in donations. ABSFTW looks forward to the day when wishes can safely be granted again and looks to ensure that when we are able to resume that those wishes can be funded.

Come as you are to join chat or dress up in your favorite fancy attire and join our VIP only video chat where you can converse directly with other attendees as you watch the show.

The show will feature a number of Albertan creators (including some of our very own Twitch Partners) who will host segments that are guaranteed to make you laugh, culminating in a four hour YEG VS YYC event that you do NOT want to miss. During the live stream donation goals will be live with epic rewards powered by our sponsors (more on that to be rolled out a little closer to the event.. come on, we have to keep some things a mystery!) and our participants. We urge you to donate if you are in the position to do so as we aim to fund raise 10k for this worthy cause!

As always, our events are free to attend, however if you choose to support the community by purchasing a VIP or Ultra VIP ticket you will be granted access to our VIP only video and voice chat rooms during the show, entered into the VIP only draws and a number of different IRL rewards (see ticket add-ons for more details)! Do I need a Twitch account to attend the digital event?

In order to participate fully it is recommended that you have a Twitch user ID to use to enter chat as giveaways and perks will be given out during the event.

What's the refund policy?

Edmonton Twitch is a non-profit community and due to the costs and requirements of ordering in product we are unable to offer refunds at this time. If you purchase a VIP tiered ticket or higher and are unable to arrange a drop off or shipping plan for your IRL rewards, please reach out to admin@edmontontwitch.com and we will do our best to accommodate you!

How will my IRL rewards reach my home?

For Edmonton locals there will be a weekend of drop off service for all physical rewards. Out of region participants will be e-mailed to arrange for payment of shipping costs and given a timeline at that point.
